| Summary of Intervention(s) | • Having signed DORA, Queens University Belfast produced a list of Principles on the use of Research Metrics at Queens to inform decisions on hiring, promotions and other forms of assessment.
• Inspired by DORA, the Leiden Manifesto and the Metric Tide Report, the principles consist of seven good practice statements.
• Principles include: metrics only being used to support (rather than supplant) expert judgements, research evaluations having clear and strategic objectives, acknowledgement of disciplinary differences, robust use of data sources, and rounded and comprehensive assessment of the merits of research.
