We encourage all individuals and organizations who are interested in developing and promoting best practice in the assessment of scholarly research to sign DORA.
By signing on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing to the following:
- The name of your organization, country (if any), and stakeholder type are displayed publicly on the DORA website (see: https://sfdora.org/sign/).
- Upon request, we will provide institution names, country information (if any), and stakeholder type of organizations that have signed the declaration.
- We have the right to exclude or remove records of those we do not approve as signers.
- In addition to collecting information that appears publicly, DORA records job titles to verify that the signing individual has authority to sign the declaration on behalf of their organization. DORA collects email addresses in order to contact you if there is a question about the validity of the signature and to send email communications about DORA to signers who have opted in.
By signing on as an individual, you are agreeing to the following:
- DORA collects your email address in order to contact you if there is a question about the validity of your signature and to send email communications about DORA if you have opted in.
- Your name and institutional affiliation will be displayed publicly on the DORA website.
- We have the right to exclude or remove records of those we do not approve as signers.
We have the discretion to retain the signing records in DORA’s signature database as long as we decide it is useful in order to realize the recommendations outlined in the declaration globally and across all scholarly disciplines (see: https://sfdora.org/read/).
The ASCB manages the DORA data and website. In addition to DORA’s data policy, all data are subject to the additional policies in ASCB’s privacy policy.
