• After signing DORA in 2018, Keele University established a DORA operational group that in 2019 produced principles on responsible uses of research metrics and on responsible research assessment more broadly.
• Keele University committed to be explicit about criteria used to arrive at new appointments, promotions and tenure decisions and to consider a broad range of research outputs and impacts beyond a simple focus on publications.
• In the context of hiring and promotion decisions, Keele University committed to a further 11 principles of responsible metrics, derived from DORA, the Metric Tide Report and the Leiden Manifesto.
