Institution Profile: University of Hull

• In May 2020, the University of Hull released a statement on the use of metrics in the assessment of research.
• The statement set out preferred methods for the use of quantitative metrics, based on the Leiden Manifesto and the Metric Tide Report.
• At the individual level, the principles are intended to guide hiring and promotions practices, which are organized at a departmental level.
• Faculties and Institutes are invited to use the principles to develop their own metrics toolset, informed by local, University, and broader requirements.
