| Summary of Intervention(s) | • The University of California- Irvine has publicly announced its recognition of the importance of team science in contemporary research.
• In light of this, since 2019, faculty candidates going for promotions are provided with a list of possible types of teamwork and collaboration contributions they can include as they prepare their portfolios for submission.
• Criteria to consider with respect to team science include a candidate’s conceptual, methodological, resource, project-level and/or dissemination contributions.
• To avoid a one-size fits all policy, the University recognizes not all candidates fit a team science profile, however, the criteria is intended to recognize the contributions of those that do.
